Robin Williams stars in this surreal antiwar fantasy directed by Barry Levinson (RAIN MAN, DINER). Williams plays Leslie Zevo, the son of a fun-loving toymaker. Leslie and his sister, Alsatia (Joan Cusack,) grew up surrounded by their father's whimsical creations in the fantastic factory that he built. When their father dies, the children find that he has left his beloved business in the hands of his brother, a warmonger general (Michael Gambon), thinking that despite his children's love of the company, they don't have minds for business. Unable to disregard his military sensibilities, the general embarks on his own secret project in an effort to make toys that fulfill his confrontational nature, developing video games for children that actually control live weapons. Upon discovering their uncle's diabolical plan, Leslie and Alsatia set out to stop the general in his tracks and save their father's dream factory from manufacturing lethal weapons. Levinson's interesting social commentary also features rapper LL Cool J as the general's son, Patrick, a military man who specializes in camouflage; and Robin Wright as Leslie's love interest.DVD Special Features:Region 1Keepcase

In Good Company/Wimbledon (DVD) In Good Company/Wimbledon (DVD) » In Good Company/Wimbledon (DVD)

A pair of 2004's successful romantic comedies are collected here together: IN GOOD COMPANY and WIMBLEDON.In his previous effort, ABOUT A BOY, writer-director Paul Weitz managed to smoothly blend elements of dark comedy with heartwarming drama to deftly undercut both of the genre's undesirable excesses. IN GOOD COMPANY is Weitz's solo directorial debut sans his brother Chris, with whom he co-helmed the aforementioned BOY and the wildly successful AMERICAN PIE series. Here, he perfects his gift for the so-called dramedy, softening the jagged, sometimes ugly edges of corporate satire with warmth and sentiment. Dennis Quaid is perfectly cast as Dan Foreman, a slightly weary yet still dashing advertising boss and dedicated family man. He seems to have it all as a wholesome and admirable father, an existence which smacks of the archetypical mid-century sitcom dad that he so brilliantly portrayed as the secretly homosexual husband-father in Todd Haynes' FAR FROM HEAVEN. Enter Carter Duryea (THAT 70s SHOW's Topher Grace), a cocky young upstart hired to replace him. Before long, Dan is forced to be deferential to his new baby-faced boss, not only in the office but also at his own dinner table when Dan begins dating his lovely daughter Alex (Scarlett Johanssen). This old-fashioned, slightly soap-operatic twist is the perfect catalyst for the integration of humanity into an environment (and cinematic genre) that is so often devoid of it, and the film simultaneously lightens in spirit and deepens in emotion as a slow-yet-sure, father-and-son bond develops between the former adversaries.Richard Loncraine's WIMBLEDON is a lighthearted romantic comedy set in the high-pressure world of professional tennis. Peter Colt (Paul Bettany) is a 31-year-old Englishman who was once ranked 11th in the world, but has now dropped to a pathetic 119th. Realizing that his days are numbered, Peter intends to retire from the game after playing in one final Wimbledon. But when he a...

Wholly Moses! (DVD) Wholly Moses! (DVD) » Wholly Moses! (DVD)

While it is well-documented that the infant Moses was sent down the Nile and rescued by the Pharoh's daughter, it is often forgotten that Hershel, another infant, was sent down the same path on the same morning. Unfortunately for him, Moses gave him a nudge which caused him to slip by the Pharoh's daughter unnoticed. So who was truly the chosen one? Dudley Moore stars as the adult Herschel, who goes on a quest to find his place in the grand scheme of things. Also starring Laraine Newman, Richard Pryor, Madeline Kahn, and Jack Gilford, WHOLLY MOSES! was directed by sometime Saturday Night Live conspirator, Gary Weis (THE RUTLES: ALL YOU NEED IS CASH).DVD Features:Region 1Keep CaseFull Frame - 1.33Audio: Dolby Digital - English
