Created by maverick animator John Kricfalusi, RIPPING FRIENDS focuses on an extremely close and extremely buff four-man superhero team whose mission is to do whatever they must to keep the balance of freedom and justice. The only person who can dare to stand up to them is He-Mom, their mother, who isn't above using her Super-Guilt power! Fine for kids, but ripe with adult humor, THE RIPPING FRIENDS are a bold, gross animated creation. Tolen (Ray Brooks) has it. Colin (Michael Crawford) doesn't. It is the knack for getting women into bed. After obtaining lessons from the master, Colin buys a bed big enough for his conquests. This leads Colin and his friend Tom (Donal Donnelly) to Nancy (Rita Tushingham), an attractive traveler. The boys vie for her affections, but when she meets Tolen, she faints, overcome by his charm. Nancy awakens thinking she has been raped and points her finger at the hapless Colin. As films age they are commonly seen as tame by today's standards. This is not the case with this outrageously loose 1965 portrait of Swinging London. A revolutionary film, this amoral slapstick combined the rapid-fire-gag approach used by director Richard Lester in his previous work with the Beatles (A HARD DAY'S NIGHT, HELP!) with the awareness of technique popularized by the French New Wave. The style of filmmaking perfectly captures the time period and was also highly influential to the film school generation of the late 1960s and early 1970s. John Barry's playful score fusing jazz and pop sets the frenetic pace. Though purely cinematic, the film is based on a popular play by Ann Jellicoe.DVD Features:Region 1Keep CaseAnamorphic Widescreen - 1.85Audio: Dolby Digital Mono - EnglishAdditional Release Material: Trailers - 1. Soccer is one of the world's most popular sports, and this delightful Spanish comedy weaves a touching tale of reconciliation around the game. Antonio decides to get his life back on track when he is released from prison by rounding up his friends and reforming the old soccer team they played in as kids. Seeing his friends succumbing to various personal woes, Antonio believes they'll all benefit from the rejuvenating effects of a good soccer game. Similar in spirit to John Huston's soccer flick VICTORY (1981) and BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM, DIAS DE FUTBOL is an affecting film about the uplifting powers of sport.

Snow Dogs (DVD) Snow Dogs (DVD) » Snow Dogs (DVD)

Director Brian Levant (BEETHOVEN) goes to the dogs again in Disney's SNOW DOGS. Cuba Gooding, Jr. stars as Ted Brooks, a successful Miami dentist who finds out that he was adopted, and has to travel to Alaska for the reading of his birth mother's will. There, he meets the small community of crazies that were his mother's friends. Barb (Joanna Bacalso), a beautiful bar owner, is the most welcoming. Ted learns that he has inherited his mother's property, including her team of rambunctious sled dogs. A crusty old-timer, Thunder Jack (James Coburn), tries to buy the dogs, but Ted decides he will learn how to race a dogsled, and enter the Arctic Challenge, a local race. Handling the mischievous pooches, particularly the alpha dog, Demon, turns out to be much harder than expected. Levant keeps the action moving at a swift pace, particularly during Ted's hilariously disastrous first run with the dogs. Gooding clowns like a pro, and Coburn is wonderful as the grizzled dogsled veteran. Kids will fall in love with all the dogs, who are given animated facial expressions. Nichelle Nichols (of STAR TREK fame) plays Ted's mom, and pop star Sisqo plays his best friend back in Miami.DVD Features:Region 1Keep CaseAudio: TBDAdditional Release Material: TBDInteractive Features: Scene Access Interactive Menus

Holly Hunter stars as Ed, a cop who is devastated when she learns that she cannot get pregnant. Nicolas Cage is her husband, H.I., an ex-con who wants nothing more than to make his wife the happiest woman in the world. So if she wants a baby, she's going to have a baby, one way or another.Heading up the supporting cast of bizarre characters are John Goodman and William Forsythe as crazy cousins who have just busted out of prison, Sam McMurray and Frances McDormand as Ed and H.I.'s swinging friends, and Randall Tex Cobb as a motorcycle madman hired to rescue the baby. RAISING ARIZONA is the Coen brothers' most consistently funny film. Carter Burwell's score, replete with infectious yodeling, is relentless, Barry Sonnenfeld's cinematography is beautifully wacky, and the manic dialogue is the brothers' most quotable. The film is a treat for the ears and the eyes, a one-of-a-kind sensation from a marvelous pair of filmmakers.DVD Features:Region 1Keep CaseSingle Side - Single LayerLetterboxed - 1.85:1Audio: Dolby Surround - English Dolby Surround - FrenchAdditional Release Material: Trailers - 1. Utrillo - Street in Montmartre Framed Canvas » Utrillo - Street in Montmartre Framed Canvas

Both artists and critics regard Utrillo as the century's greatest painter of urban scenes. Add his Street in Montmartre to your collection.

His total lack of self-criticism allowed him to create both modest works and indisputable masterpieces. Above all, Utrillo had an eye for Montmartre--the old, picturesque, and relatively quiet artists' quarter as it existed before the First World War. Fascinated by the sad little streets and miserable bistros of the industrial suburbs he will be known forever as the painter of the unheralded sights of the French capital. His gift for simplification and his unerring sense of color relation were instinctive to him.

Our canvas fine art replicas surpass most reproductions available in the market today. Each canvas is recreated in amazing detail so that even the subtlest brushstroke becomes vibrant. Artist-grade canvas is hand-stretched over wooden stretcher bars by skilled artisans and hand-coated with protectants to insure archival properties.

Approximately 4 inches wide, the clean lines of the merlot frame direct the eye to the focal point of the art. The stunning color of the frame, similar to a rich merlot wine, works with any home decor. Frame includes a linen liner with a matching fillet.

This framed canvas is being custom built for you. Please allow 5 business days for the product to leave our warehouse.
