By day, he works at a dead-end security job. By night, he is Eddie Presley (Duane Whitaker, who also wrote the screenplay), Elvis impersonator extraordinaire. Sadly, though, Eddie's life seems to be falling apart. The clubs he performs in have gotten increasingly smaller, his girlfriend has left him, and he can barely afford to live out of his van. But when he gets a chance at a comeback show at a seedy Hollywood nightclub, Eddie sees it as a chance to turn his luck around. Unfortunately, the performance won't go quite as he plans it. MAN IN THE MOON: Robert Mulligan`s graceful coming-of-age drama, set in rural Louisiana in 1957, explores the relationship change two sisters experience when both fall for the handsome new boy next door, Court Foster (Jason London). The younger sister, 14-year-old Dani (Reese Witherspoon), gains Court s friendship and a brief kiss but not his romantic affections, which he reserves for college-bound Maureen (Emily Warfield).
