The Greatest American Hero - Season Two (DVD)
A superhero spoof that anticipates films like MYSTERY MEN and THE INCREDIBLES, THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO joined the ranks of many acclaimed television shows that were canceled before their time. Combining the battle between good and evil with good natured comedy, the show tells the story of Ralph, a normal schoolteacher who finds himself in the possession of an alien suit that gives him superpowers. With the help of girlfriend Pam and gung-ho FBI agent Bill Maxwell--the only people who know his secret--Ralph travels the country fighting crime and defending the innocent. SEASON TWO contains 22 episodes, and was the only full season of the program to be aired. Created by successful television producer Stephen J. Cannell (THE A-TEAM, 21 JUMP STREET), THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO is a long-time cult favorite among avid fans of television comedy.DVD Features:Region (unknown)Box SetFull Frame - 1.33Additional Release Material: Video Interviews - 1. DARK is a sinister organization that launches a wave of audacious attacks in an attempt to gain world domination. Commanded by the evil Professor Gill, masked robots and fearsome Destructoid monsters terrorize innocent victims and wreak havoc throughout Japan. To counteract this menace, Gill's nemesis Dr. Komyoji creates Jiro, a guitar-strumming warrior with the ability to transform into a mighty red-and-blue android known as Kikaida. Vulnerable to Professor Gill's shrill flute wooing him to the DARK side, the heroic Jiro battles the robotic hordes while protecting Komyoji's children Mitsuko and Masaru.
