THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY is a no-holds-barred comedy tour-de-force in which 30-something Ben Stiller locates and courts his high school dreamgirl (Cameron Diaz), unwittingly enlisting the help of some of her more hilariously psychotic suitors. In-your-face sight gags and unapologetic raunchiness disguise a riotously funny love story that is actually very sweet. Jack Ryan (Owen Wilson) is a small-time scam artist who is determined to leave that life behind after yet another run-in with the law. Along the way, he must contend with a series of potentially shady characters, who might not be what they seem (Morgan Freeman, Charlie Sheen, and Bebe Neuwirth).Directed with an easygoing approach that fits perfectly with the laid back Hawaiian locales, THE BIG BOUNCE gets an enormous boost from Owen Wilson, who appears to be having the time of his life. This might have something to do with his costar Foster, a former model whose mere presence is enough to make the screen sizzle. Beavis and Butt-head, MTV's metal-head morons, finally conquer the big screen in this on-the-road, on-the-run comic adventure. The boys run into real trouble when--and this really sucks!--their all-important television set is stolen and they get mistaken for a pair of hit-men hired to do a man's sexy wife. Their misunderstood task takes them from Vegas to D.C., with plenty of hilarity but nary a music video in sight.
