Lovable talking mouse Stuart Little (voiced by Michael J. Fox) lives with his human family in a quaint brownstone near Central Park in an idyllic New York City. In this sequel to the 1999 blockbuster, Stuart deals with growing pains. His mother (Geena Davis) is overprotective of her fearless minuscule mouse son who plays soccer, skateboards, and drives his own convertible to school. Meanwhile, his brother, George (Jonathan Lipnicki), is spending more and more of his time with his friends, leaving Stuart feeling
deserted. Just when Stuart is at his loneliest, a lovely bird named Margalo (voiced by Melanie Griffith) literally falls into his life while she is being pursued by a vicious falcon (voiced by James Woods). Adventure and hijinks ensue when Margalo who is not as innocent as she appears to be--disappears and Stuart vows to find her. Snowbell (voiced by Nathan Lane), the family cat, provides substantial comic relief. Hugh Laurie also stars as Stuart s levelheaded father, and Steve Zahn provides the voice for the scruffy cat Monty. Top-notch animation and a fitting voice from Fox make Stuart endearing and oddly human.

HEAT is the third in the FLESH/TRASH/HEAT trilogy by director Paul Morrissey, in collaboration with his friend Andy Warhol, which captures the essence of some failed American lives. In HEAT, Morrissey`s detached and thoroughly Warholian take on Billy Wilder`s SUNSET BOULEVARD, Joe Dallesandro plays Joey Davis, an oversexed has-been child star who arrives at a seedy and sex-drenched poolside motel. There Joey meets Jessica, a frumpy and burned-out fellow motel resident, and learns that her mother is the aging and fading movie star Sally Todd, who was also his former costar. Joey`s half-baked aspirations for stardom lead him to the beds of almost every character he meets, and he eventually forges a sordid liaison with Sally and moving into her crumbling Hollywood Hills mansion. Joey half-heartedly fends off the advances of Jessie, as well as Sally`s ex-husband`s live-in lover and anyone else who comes along with something to offer. The mostly ad-libbed dialogue and ramshackle cast of characters create a shambling and hysterical chain of nonevents that lead to a torpid California poolside anticlimax. Morrissey`s meandering camerawork and loosely structured plot structure allows the actors` magnetic and manic personalities to take over, as the minutiae of their failed ambitions and sordid habits are scrutinized by the lazy and all-seeing eye of the handheld camera. Despite its comic meandering and satirical overtone, HEAT pinpoints the zeitgeist of 1970s Los Angeles with an unrelenting look at the lives of these Hollywood has-beens and their empty worldview.

Television viewers in the 1970s couldn`t fail to find Norm Crosby brightening up the schedules, with myriad talk show appearances affording the inimitable comedian the chance to shine. Here, HBO presents a set from Crosby that demonstrates his ability to turn simple stories into comedy gold, along with his famous habit of dropping malapropisms (i.e., taking a word and using it incorrectly) into his act.

Life as an aspiring writer takes an intriguing twist for Steven Merritt (Alexander Chaplin) when he undertakes some research for his novel in a veterinary clinic. Rebecca (Lindsay Sloane), an assistant at the clinic, mistakenly believes that Steven is gay. To add a little spice to his novel, Steven decides to play along with this assumption, and adopts the role with a fervent zeal. Unfortunately his feelings for Rebecca blossom into a full-blown crush, but he can't admit his true feelings for her due to his homosexual guise. To make matters worse, Rebecca has similar feelings for Steven, but is similarly reluctant to come forward and make it known.
