St. Louis filmmakers Patrick Voss and Adam Hackbarth's INBRED REDNECK ALIEN INVASION recalls the glory days of American International pictures and the drive-in B-picture atmosphere those films deliberately wallowed in. The pair combined to do a great deal of the creative work on the film including the direction, writing, special effects, and some of the acting. This sci-fi spoof concerns a group of government agents who make friends with some backwoods hillbillies in Arkansas in order to investigate a series of alien abductions. But the agents and the hicks find themselves on board the alien's spacecraft, victims of the very same fate they were investigating. INBRED REDNECK ALIEN INVASION is a combination of lowbrow comedy and genre parody similar to the SCARY MOVIE series.DVD Features:Region (unknown)Keep CaseFull Frame - 1.33Additional Release Material: Audio Commentary - 1. Based on the novel by Donald E. Westlake, WHAT'S THE WORST THAT COULD HAPPEN? is a black comedy in the tradition of GET SHORTY and THE GRIFTERS. The film opens at an art auction in Boston, where suave robber Kevin Caffrey (Martin Lawrence) meets the beautiful, distraught Amber (Carmen Ejogo). Romantic sparks become genuine love in just one night. To prove this, Amber gives Kevin her deceased father's good-luck ring. A few days later, Kevin and his partner, Berger (John Leguizamo), are robbing the beach house of Max Fairbanks (Danny DeVito), an incredibly selfish millionaire. In a sick twist of fate, Max captures Kevin and convinces the police that Kevin's ring is actually his own. With the tables now turned, Kevin must try to get his ring back from Max, at any and all costs. This puts a strain on his relationship with Amber, and at the same time unleashes an outlandish series of events that will eventually bring all of the characters together for one raucous finale. Director Sam Weisman uses a thumping hip-hop score to add freshness to his picture, which features bizarre, outrageous supporting turns from William Fichtner, Larry Miller, Nora Dunn, and Glenne Headly.DVD Features:Region 1Keep CaseFull Frame - 1.33Anamorphic Widescreen - 1.85Single Side - Dual LayerAudio: Dolby Digital Surround 5.1 - English Stereo 2.0 - Spanish Stereo 2.0 - FrenchAdditional Release Material: Audio Commentary - 1. Bullets Over Broadway (DVD) Bullets Over Broadway (DVD) » Bullets Over Broadway (DVD)

David Shayne (John Cusack, in performance his character that of a young Woody Allen) is an idealistic young playwright whose life (and play) is about to be turned upside down as it heads toward Broadway. In order to gain financing for GOD OF OUR FATHERS, Shayne agrees to hire Olive Neal (a wonderfully high-squeaking Jennifer Tilly), the actress/girlfriend of Nick Valenti, a potential backer--who also happens to be a gangster. Unfortunately, the lass proves to be not only talent-free but ditzy to boot, a hindrance since she is supposed to play a psychiatrist. But Cheech, Olive's hoodlum bodyguard, proves to be more intuitive artistically than anyone would suspect, as his contributions improve not only Olive's performance but the quality of the flailing play as well. Meanwhile, Shayne must contend with an odd assortment of actors, including the neurotic Eden Brent, with her omnipresent, yapping dog; the pompous Warner Purcell, a corset-wearing overeater; and haughty leading lady Helen Sinclair (a fabulous Dianne Wiest), the aging, boozing diva with whom Shayne begins a romance. The laughs keep coming like rapid machine-gun fire in this riotous Woody Allen farce.DVD Features:Region 1 EncodingKeep CaseSpecial Features: Interactive Menus, Chapter Search.
