Yet another hilariously over-the-top double feature of trashy B-movies is presented here by the looney folks at Something Weird video. 1969's THE MIGHTY GORGA is a comically terrible monster gorilla movie in the spirit of KING KONG but with much shoddier special effects. ONE MILLION AC/DC, which was produced in the same year, is an erotic bit of camp set in the Stone Age and written by famed B-movie auteur Ed Wood.DVD Features:Region 1Keep CaseFull Frame - 1.33Audio: Dolby Digital Mono - EnglishAdditional Release Material: Trailers Bonus Feature/Short - 1. Jason Lee plays a well-intentioned Everyman who is forced into a life of crime in STEALING HARVARD. Engaged to the beautiful Elaine (Leslie Mann) and saving up to buy their dream house, John (Lee) appears to have it all. But when his sister shows him a videotape in which he promises to pay for his niece's college education, he finds himself desperate for thirty thousand dollars. Recruiting his slightly psychopathic friend Duff (Tom Green) to help him come up with some fast cash, John quickly discovers that he's only making things worse for himself. After a bumbled mini-mart hold-up and a house burglary gone terribly wrong, John's descent into a life of crime takes even more outrageous turns for the worse. After he eventually comes clean with Elaine, she hatches a plan to rob her father's (Dennis Farina) home healthcare business. As the trio breaks into the Homespital offices, a maniacal police detective (John C. McGinley) and Elaine's father both make their move. Former Kids in the Hall member-turned-director Bruce McCulloch, working from an outlandish script from Peter Tolan (ANALYZE THIS, WHAT PLANET ARE YOU FROM?), gets solid performances out of his three leads, in addition to supporting players McGinley, Farina, and Richard Jenkins.DVD Features:Region 1Keep CaseWidescreen - 1.85Audio: Dolby Digital 5.1 - English Dolby Digital 5.1 - FrenchAdditional Release Material: Trailers Deleted ScenesInteractive Features: Interactive Menus Scene SelectionText/Photo Galleries: Filmographies

Bananas (DVD) Bananas (DVD) » Bananas (DVD)

Woody Allen leads a revolution in a small Latin American dictatorship in this hysterical comedy that parodies everything from the American media and political activism to the CIA and the judicial system. Allen plays Fielding Mellish, a nebbish unwilling to commit to anything--until he meets Nancy, played by Louise Lasser. Mellish soon finds himself fighting with guerrilla forces in the small third world country of San Marcos, and he becomes an international figure, even appearing on ABC's WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS with Howard Cosell (who plays himself). The film is loaded with sight gags that pay homage to Chaplin, Bergman, and the Marx Brothers. It also tackles politics, government, and religion, even breaking for a commercial for cigarettes endorsed by the church! One of the most memorable scenes of Allen's career occurs when Mellish defends himself in the funniest courtroom scene since the Three Stooges' DISORDER IN THE COURT. Allen's obsessions with food, sex, and death begin to take form here, on their way to becoming major themes in such films as LOVE AND DEATH, ANNIE HALL, and HANNAH AND HER SISTERS.DVD FeaturesRegion 1Keep CaseWidescreen - 1.85Full Screen - 1.33Single Side - Single LayerAudio: Dolby Digital Mono 2.0 - English, SpanishAdditional Release Materials: Trailers - 1. Will& Grace - Season 3 (DVD) Will& Grace - Season 3 (DVD) » Will& Grace - Season 3 (DVD)

WILL& GRACE made a controversial splash when it first aired in 1998 with the presence of openly gay characters, something that was relatively foreign to prime-time family-oriented programming. The show went on to become an overwhelmingly successful hit due to the chemistry between Debra Messing (Grace) and Eric McCormack (Will), as well as its unique brand of physical, almost slapstick comedy blended with sly, sarcastic sociopolitical commentary. The series follows the exploits of two unusually close best friends; Grace is a goofy, sexy interior designer and Will is a suave, elegant gay man. The two have a relationship that borders on co-dependence, resembling a marriage without sex. They are also joined on the show by Jack, Will's flamboyant friend, Karen, Grace sassy, spoiled assistant, and a host of guest stars.Season three offers a continuation of some of the more enduring storylines as well as an increase in clever gay and pop culture references. Jack finally sees an end to his search for his biological mother, while his marriage to Karen's immigrant maid Rosario comes to an end. Jack begins attending Co-dependents Anonymous meetings while Grace's romantic interest moves from Ben (Gregory Hines) to her slovenly, free-spirited neighbor Nathan (Woody Harrelson). Other guest stars include Cher, who Jack mistakes for a drag queen despite his utter adoration of the pop diva, and Ellen Degeneres playing a nun who drives a hard bargain when she purchases Grace's deceased uncle's car.DVD Features:Region 1Keep CaseFull Frame - 1.33Additional Release Material: Featurettes Bloopers - 1.
