Anthony Hopkins and Chris Rock join up in the action-packed buddy movie BAD COMPANY. When CIA undercover operative Kevin Pope is killed during tense negotiations for a nuclear weapon, agent Gaylord Oakes (Hopkins) recruits the man's twin brother, Jake Hayes (Rock), to take his place and prevent the bomb from getting into the wrong hands. The problem is that Hayes, a streetwise kid who scalps tickets and hustles people playing chess in the parks, didn't even know he had a twin--and now he has only nine days to learn to impersonate his impeccably dressed, well-educated, well-trained agent brother. The shady world of adult websites is opened up for investigation by a curious reporter in THE LOVE MACHINE. The movie is shot in a mocumentary style, lending a palatable air of authenticity to the proceedings as they unfold. Despite its title, CONEY ISLAND BABY takes place in Ireland, and is directed by Amy Hobby, one of the producers of the controversial 2002 film SECRETARY. Billy Hayes (Karl Geary) is an Irishman returning home after living in New York. But he finds that he`s outgrown the small town in which he grew up, and has a hard time adjusting to life away from the big city. A quietly charming comedy, CONEY ISLAND BABY is a hugely promising directorial debut from Hobby.
