A Star Fell From Heaven (DVD)
This 1936 operatic German comedy stars renowned German Jewish tenor Joseph Schmidt. With a wacky plot concerning a tenor who damages his singing voice by mistakenly drinking cologne, this musical is worthy of the Marx Brothers. Schmidt, a man of great talent, perished in a Nazi concentration camp. In this film, the performer sings several songs, including Una furtiva lagrima from the opera L'ELISIR D'AMORE.DVD Features:Region 0NTSCAudio: PCM Stereo - German Subtitles - English
