Based on the humorous 1994 novel by John Birmingham, HE DIED WITH A FELAFEL IN HIS HAND is just as quirky as its name suggests. Set in various parts of Australia`s east coast, the film stars Noah Taylor as Danny, a 30-something-year-old wanderer drifting through life one town, girlfriend, and job at a time. Danny`s wild experiences in each location form stories unto themselves, and also add up to a larger whole. The resulting offbeat narrative takes a comic look at the themes of purposelessness, elusive direction, and the universal search for life`s meaning.
